Resourcefulness, Play & Precision

Steven Buckles is a multidisciplinary artist, fabricator, and creative practitioner based in Western Australia. Over more than two decades, his practice has evolved across street art, aerosol murals, block-printing, digital fabrication, and site-specific public installations.

Operating across multiple identities — from the socio-political critique of ololo and the provocative murals of hurben, to the pixel-art nostalgia of bubble.bobble, CNC manufacturing with float.creative, and urban micro-sculptures in bug.mother — his work bridges craftsmanship, wit, and community engagement.

Whether executing large-scale architectural fabrications or placing subtle micro-sculptures along public streetscapes, the goal remains the same: transforming overlooked spaces into moments of connection, critical reflection, and joy.
